I received the Kuuk Professional Stainless Steel Garlic Press for review and I was very impressed with the product. Very sturdy and well made, I believe that when they say you will never need another garlic press in your kitchen, they are right. The press is very ergonomic in that it is easy to use which is important to me as I have arthritis and carpal tunnel.
To make squeezing easier, you probably should take the skin off the clove of garlic but you really don't need to. How nice is that that you don't have to touch the garlic and have stinky fingers? I like that aspect as I love using garlic but hate touching it.

The borough of Gardenfield is home to some 35,000 peaceful
souls nestled in the friendly confines marked by Tiny’s Package Store to the
north, the J. Kilmer Pub to the east, Lillian’s Tavern to the south, and the
Tiki Lounge to the west. A Philadelphia suburb, it is a prosperous community
with colonial roots and a variety of pretensions, including a prohibition on
the sale of alcoholic beverages within Gardenfield proper. In fact, thirsty
Gardenfielders simply have to drive past the town limits on any of the major
roads, in order to enjoy a beer or a cocktail.
Buddy Black was not a drinking man by habit. Nor was he
averse to dropping by a tavern from time to time, to see what the locals were
up to and let off some steam after work. Tonight he made a beeline for
Lillian’s. It had been a while. Lillian greeted him at the door. Rail thin and
dyed blond, she appeared to be in her 60s and to subsist on nothing but whisky,
cigarettes, and conversation. She welcomed Buddy with a hug. “Hi, hon. Nice to
see you again. She’s expecting you.”

“I’m that predictable…?” The Chief freed himself from Lil’s
embrace and headed for the bar. “Daisy, did you really know I’d come here
tonight?”
The woman behind the bar was dressed in tight jeans and a
low-cut flower-print top. She was busy polishing a wine glass, and didn’t look
up until she’d finished her task. Then she flashed a smile that was warmer than
Lil’s rather spectral hug. “Buddy! I haven’t seen you since—what?—Bay of Pigs.
It’s about time you came to see me.” Without asking she opened a bottle of
Rolling Rock and set it down in front of the Chief.

About the Author
Originally from Houston, Texas, Gwendolyn Womack began writing theater plays in college while freezing in the tundra at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. During that time she lived in St. Petersburg, Russia on an independent study working with theater companies. She went on to receive an MFA from California Institute of the Arts in Directing theater and film where she was encouraged to write her own material. After graduating she focused on writing feature screenplays and was a semi-finalist in the Academy?s Nicholl Fellowship. In 2009 she moved to Japan and began THE MEMORY PAINTER the following year. Currently she resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son where she can be found at the keyboard working on her next novel.
THE MEMORY PAINTER is her first novel.

Deanna Nowadnick lives in Monroe, Washington with her husband, Kurt. When not responding to traffic citations, she provides administrative support for The Planner’s Edge, an investment advisory firm. Deanna’s continues to be active in her church, playing the violin and serving on the leadership team. She’s also part of several women’s groups. Her leisure time is filled with knitting, walks in the sunshine, and vanilla ice cream with chocolate chunks and peanut butter swirls.

Sarah Kennedy’s Novel, City of Ladies, Is One of Four Historical Fiction Titles Honored
Knoxville, TN – Virginia writer Sarah Kennedy’s second novel, CITY OF LADIES, was one of four titles honored last Friday with a ForeWord Magazine INDIEFAB Award in Historical Fiction. CITY OF LADIES received an Honorable Mention.
CITY OF LADIES is the second title in Kennedy’s The Cross and the Crown series, which is published by Knox Robinson Publishing. In her series, Kennedy fills an absence in the historical record by imagining what might have happened to the nuns after Henry VIII took over the church. Each title can be read as a stand-alone.
Historical Novels Review called CITY OF LADIES “A true page-turner” and San Francisco Book Review said “Sarah Kennedy brilliantly crafts her characters to drive a narrative that will have you guessing to the very end.” Foreword Reviews said, “It is not necessary to read the first novel in the series to enjoy this book, but those finding this their first introduction to Catherine will surely search out the first novel to spend more time with this feisty woman in her richly detailed world.”
The paperback edition of CITY OF LADIES will be released on September 15, 2015. The third title in Kennedy’s series, THE KING’S SISTERS, will be published on September 29, 2015.
Sarah Kennedy holds a Ph.D. in Renaissance Literature from Purdue University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College. The author of seven books of poems as well as The Altarpiece, book one in The Cross and the Crown series, she has received individual artist grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, as well as an award for scholarship from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
